On Monday, October 3, Grades 1, 2 and 3 began their year-long Reading Campaign. All students arrived in costumes representing their favourite characters from storybooks. During the day the students gathered together to enjoy different aspects of reading. There were reading activities from "Walk and Read" and reading in the playground, to D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything And Read). Students then wrote reflections in their notebooks about the importance of reading and its significance in their lives. It was a wonderful day and the students alongside their teachers are very excited to make reading a part of the school culture and read everyday at 10:10am.
